You need

How to prepare the room and yourself before you begin

Close all open windows. Wind or drafts can create microorganisms that can contaminate the magic mushroom growth kit.
Place it on a sanitized surface when you pull out the grow box with the cake from the cardboard box. If this surface is not clean, microorganisms can adhere to the grow box and thrive in the magic mushroom grow kit and contaminate the grow box.
Be sure to work with clean hands and arms. When handling the packaging, we recommend using surgical gloves or a strong disinfectant. In order not to breathe into the rising bag and on the cake, you can use a face mask.

Instructions: Magic mushroom kit

1. Take out the package containing the Magic Mushroom grow pack, a plastic bag, and a paper clip. Remove the lid (save the lid properly) from the mushroom grow pack. Clean the lid under running water. Later (step 7) you will need it again.

2. Put the mushroom growing kit in the plastic bag without a lid (opening at the top). Slide the pouch opening under the rim with the micro-perforation facing up. The bag opening is now largely closed. You don’t need to worry about air circulation.

3. You can put the grow bag upright when you see the first little mushrooms (called pens). Don’t water yourself! After about 1 week the first magic mushrooms are available.

4. Place the mushroom growing kit in a place with plenty of sunshine at a temperature between 18°C and 28°C. NEVER expose the grow kit to direct sunlight. Although mushrooms will grow in almost any temperature above 15°C, 23°C is the ideal temperature for an optimal harvest. To ensure this temperature, special heating mats are available.

5. When the mushrooms are a bit bigger, the pins keep the bag slightly open the whole time to allow the moisture to evaporate (stage 2). Too much moisture is not healthy.

After about 1 week, the first mushrooms become noticeable. About a week later, the first harvest is yours. Harvest before the first spores fall! Kits for growing fresh mushrooms bring their first harvest relatively quickly. The first buds are already visible after 1 week. Low and high temperatures can delay this growth process somewhat. Stop spraying the inside of the bag once the buds turn clear. It usually takes a week or two for the mushrooms to fully grow.

6. These kits can produce multiple crops of mushrooms. To do this, fill the packaging with clean tap water after the first harvest. This process is called cold shock. It breathes new life into the mycelium and provides enough moisture for the mushrooms to grow.

7. Place the growth kit lid back on the kit.

Place the plastic bag with the growth kit inside on the heat mat. Turn on the heating mat. After two days, turn off the heat mat and wait for the buds to grow, which usually takes between five and 10 days. Then turn the heat pad back on and open the top of the bag a little to allow the moisture to evaporate.

If the buds have not grown after ten days, what to do? Take the cake out of the plastic box, put it back on its side in the plastic box, and start heating mat for two days.
